The Clear Message
of a lone Hippo bull being disturbed. Not an uncommon sighting that just one lone hippo bull calls a particular smaller pan its own. All of them have to leave their families at that certain age when they become competitors to the dominant bull. They eventually then find a rich watersource in a biotop that provides plenty of food where they follow their daily routine of staying in the water untill the evening, then feeding untill the morning, etc. with the aim to add as much weight as possible to eventually return someday and defeat a dominant bull.
